Vest Pocket Business Coalition Elects New Officers
The Vest Pocket Business Coalition has elected new officers to the positions of President and Vice President of the organization. Doug Burton takes over as President from Jon Parry (JDP Law) who served as president from 2015-2017 and remains on the board.
Rebecca Yates will fill the newly created role of Vice President.
Board Member Catherine Pray takes over as Secretary from Westminster College’s Ryan Lewis, who has served as Secretary for the past four years.
Board member Carol Elliott is the new Advocacy Committee Chair and will continue to advocate for local, independent business by working with legislators and policy-makers at all levels of government.
Doug Burton is the co-owner of Saltworks (saltworksdigital.com), a local web development and digital marketing agency. Prior to Saltworks, Doug served as Senior Vice President of Creative for InTouch and InStore Broadcasting Network, retail media companies that provide radio, video, and interactive content for grocery stores and drug stores in the U.S. and Canada.
Rebecca Yates is the owner of Ark Insurance Solutions (ark-ins.com), a local, independently owned insurance agency. Rebecca is also a Westminster College Alumni Board Member and completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program in 2014.
Catherine Pray is the Senior Partner of Blueprint Summer Programs (www.bpsummerprograms.com) , a pre-college academic program for high school students focusing on college and career readiness. Cat is a lawyer by trade but left the practice to pursue other passions. Besides working for Blueprint she owns a local retail dancewear store and teaches dance.
Carol Elliott is the owner of Paletti, a local clothing boutique on Highland Drive in Salt Lake City (palettislc.com). Prior to opening Paletti, Carol worked for Federated Department Stores (now Macy Corp) Management in both stores and central operation work with Corporate Offices.
