PAST EVENT: Join Us For “Mentorship for Success: Why Every Small Business Owner Needs a Good Mentor”
Each year in the United States, more than 500,000 new small businesses are born. Unfortunately, only half survive five years. Only one-third of these businesses make it past their 10th anniversary. When it comes to beating the odds, guidance from a good business mentor can be invaluable.
If you’re a small business owner or are considering starting a small business, join us on May 23, 2019 for “Mentorship for Success: Why Every Small Business Owner Needs a Good Mentor.” You’ll learn about the different types of business mentoring relationships, the benefits of being mentored, and how to apply the guidance from mentoring to ensure longevity with your small business. Tickets are free but pre-registration is required as seating is limited.
Speakers will include:
Scott Pynes
Owner of Cactus & Tropicals and Utah Independent Business Coalition Board Chair for UIBC’s Mentor Round Table program.
Thomas Longenecker
Lead Business Advisor – Goldman Sachs 10KSB Program at Salt Lake Community College
This event begins at 8am sharp on May 23rd. Beverages and an assortment of light breakfast items will be served.
Admission is free.
This event is presented by the Utah Independent Business Coalition (formerly Vest Pocket) and The Salt Lake City Public Library.
