Topic: Why Stopping the I-15 Expansion MATTERS.
All are welcome! Bring your questions and concerns about the proposed I-15 expansion.
How will it affect your life, our air, and our community?
Come join us to talk about the impact of the proposed I-15 expansion on our community and what we can do about it!
Stop I-15 Coalition Members provide a broad overview of the issues including:
-Community development on the West Side and the history of the Guadalupe neighborhood
-displacement
-small businesses impacted
-air quality issues
-public transportation
-alternative visions for the future of our community!
UDOT Public Meeting to review Screening Report
Wednesday May 17th, 5:30 – 7 PM at Mestizo CoffeeHouse 631 North Temple, Salt Lake City 84116
Topic: Reviewing, explaining, and giving feedback to the “screening report” on the proposed I-15 expansion that UDOT released on May 4th.
This will be a public meeting to review and answer questions. Community, please show up in force to register your concerns directly with UDOT!
FOLLOW THE FREEWAY FOOTPRINT
Thursday May 18th, 6 PM Meet at Guadalupe Park 619 W 500 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84116
In this biking/walking tour we will survey the expanded I-15 freeway footprint. Participants may bike or walk (or drive if necessary). Maps will be provided showing affected parcels as well as the outline of the historic redlining map of the area.
UDOT has not released visualizations of how the I-15 expansion will impact homes and small businesses in the community. We will visit selected sites and document the proposed I-15 footprint. Please bring comfortable shoes, your bike/scooter, water, and your camera to document.
